Mauriceville, a small livable and lovable community, is in the heart of the top crawfish-producing area in the United States. Blessed with this natural resource as well as a unique heritage, the World Class Crawfish Cook-Off was started in 2016 to showcase our crawfish industry and talented crawfish cookers from far and wide. Held at the Community Center Pavilion and Crawfish Festival Grounds, the Crawfish Cook-off attracts locals and visitors who appreciate good cookin’, friendly competition, and great live music! Teams compete to see who can cook the best-boiled crawfish, best-boiled sides, and best original dish. Teams also vie for the Crowd Favorite and Best Decorated booth, and we can see by the entries so far that we have some characters!
